When I underwent eye surgery in 2002, my appointment was rescheduled four times. While it was a frustrating experience, it opened my eyes to a big opportunity to help practices revolutionize surgical coordination.
Since then, I’ve had the distinct privilege of leading Surgimate as its founder and CEO. It has been the highlight of my career, and I’m immensely proud of the growth we’ve seen, the connections we’ve made, and the culture we’ve built.

The time has come to start a new chapter. I’m excited to share that after 15+ years as Surgimate’s CEO, I will be transitioning into the role of Product Ambassador, where I’ll have the opportunity to focus once again on what I’m most passionate about: driving product innovation and excellence for your practice.
I’m also thrilled to introduce Kraig Brown as the new CEO of Surgimate. Kraig is a digital health stalwart, bringing 30+ years of executive experience and a proven track record of scaling businesses to new heights. Under his leadership, we’ll work toward developing many more solutions to help your surgical organization succeed, now and for years to come.
Our dedication to your success remains unwavering. As Product Ambassador, I will work in lockstep with Kraig and the Surgimate team to enhance our product roadmap. Some of the initiatives I’ll be working on in the coming months include:
- Developing business intelligence and value dashboards
- Implementing patient engagement tools for surgical coordination
- Optimizing the user experience for physicians and support staff
